Flour Power Cooking Studios franchise co-owner Andy Siegel at a community booth at HawkRidge Elementary's HawkFest in Charlotte, NC, promoting summer camp 2026

Flour Power Summer Camp has always been close to our hearts, so HawkRidge Elementary’s HawkFest felt like a natural fit. Flour Power Rea Farms co-owner Andy Siegel grabbed a booth, set up next to other Rea Farms-area businesses, and spent the morning doing what he genuinely enjoys, talking to kids and parents about what we do.

A Morning at HawkFest

The booth had a prize wheel, which, predictably, drew a crowd. Kids spun it and walked away with pizza cutters and lollipops. Andy threw in some food-related dad jokes. A few groans, a lot of laughs. Parents drifted over too, some to ask about summer camp, others just to chat and more than a few to share stories about past Flour Power experiences their kids still talk about.

“I love being out in the community talking to parents and kids about Flour Power,” Andy said. “My children went there, and I know we do a great job providing kids with confidence, skills, and smiles.”

Being shoulder-to-shoulder with other local businesses gave the day a good energy. Rea Farms has that quality, people show up for each other, and you feel it at events like this one.

What Stood Out

Here’s the thing that stuck with Andy: kids didn’t just come over for the prizes. Several of them made a beeline for the booth specifically to tell him how excited they are for Flour Power Summer Camp this year. That’s not something you can manufacture.

Said Andy, “There’s something special about a kid coming over to say how excited they are about Flour Power Summer Camp, It makes what we do so rewarding.”

Parents were warm, too. A handful stopped to say thank you — for the hands-on experience, for a program their kids actually ask to go back to, for being a local option that delivers on what it promises.

Andy related, “Every time I hear from a parent how much they loved their Flour Power experience, it makes me so proud of the work that our team is doing. I’m also proud of the role we play in this community.”

Flour Power Summer Camp 2026 in Charlotte, NC

If you were at HawkFest and want the full picture, here’s what summer looks like at Flour Power Rea Farms.

We offer 11 themed weeks of Flour Power Summer Camp in 2026, each one different, so kids who come back for multiple weeks get a completely new experience every time. Camps are open to kids ages 5–12 and run as full days from 9am to 4pm. Early drop-off and late pick-up are both available for families who need the flexibility.

The themed format keeps things interesting. One week might look completely different from the next, which is part of why kids ask to come back. During camp, kids cook, they learn real skills, and they spend the day with other kids without a screen in sight. Our staff runs everything — setup, instruction, and cleanup included. Drop off your kid, pick them up at the end of the day. That’s the deal.
