Chris
Studio OwnerChris wants to live in a world where the smell of fresh brewed coffee is your only alarm clock, summer is a twelve-month season, and nap-time is socially acceptable for adults. As an early childhood educator for most of her career, Chris is an advocate for hands-on learning and believes in the value of making messes. She's worked with children of all ages and is excited to foster a love of cooking in chefs of all ages. Chris has fond memories of spending her early years at her grandmother's nursery school and her school-aged years helping at her family's restaurant. She sees Flour Power Kids Cooking Studio as a perfect blend of all her passions and an opportunity to start her own family-owned business (her daughter Shaylee is her partner and studio manager). Shaylee
Studio ManagerShaylee wants to live in a world where you don't have to wait for movie sequels, everyday is bring your pet (dachshund) to work day, and mornings don't start before 10:00 A.M. While working in summer camps during breaks from school, Shaylee developed a passion for working with children. After graduating from CSU she pursued a career in childcare, where she discovered - from making playdough recipes with toddlers, to working as the center cook, to providing the cooking enrichment program for preschoolers - the joy children get from cooking. Salty or Sweet: Shaylee loves salty, then sweet, then salty again. Favorite Comfort Food: Cheesy Rice. Favority T.V. Chef: Tyler Florence.

Assistant InstructorHayden wants to live in a world where people take better care of the Earth, everyone dresses like it's the 70's, and there is world peace! She loves to cook and is excited to work at Flour Power for the opportunity to help young people find things that inspire them. Salty or Sweet: Why not a little of both? Favorite Comfort Food: Avocado Rolls and Crab Cheese Rangoons. Favorite T.V. Chef: Gordon Ramsay of course!

Assistant InstructorLindsay wants to live in a world where sickness doesn't exist, everyone is kind, and every day is Friday! She loves working with children and is excited to use the skills she's developed in her high school ProStart program in the Flour Power kitchen. Salty or Sweet: Sweet! Assistant InstructorMarissa wants to live in a world where everyone is kind to each other, the weather never gets too cold, and recess still exists in high school! Assistant InstructorHyatt wants to live in a world where animals aren't hunted for sport and every person has a roof over their head and food in their belly. Assistant InstructorAbby wants to live in a world where people can be honest and kind; where people are willing to help others; and where people don’t diminish others. She’s excited to work at Flour Power because there is nothing better than making kids smile and creating (and eating) good food! Salty or Sweet: Sweet. Assistant InstructorPeighton wants to live in a world where everyone has equal opportunities, no-one goes to bed hungry, and people aren't defined by how they look or dress. Assistant InstructorHannah wants to live in a world where she’s happy with her job and life, everybody has equal opportunities, and she can be around animals allergy free! She has always lived two things: kids and baking. She has many hours volunteering with children and hopes to one day own her own bakery. She looks forward to gaining experience, exploring, and learning about the business of cooking. Salty or Sweet: sweet. Favorite Comfort Food: apple pie, because it reminds her of making pie with her mother. Favorite T.V. Chef: Candace Nelson, because she loved watching Cupcake Wars when she was growing up.
